eRESOURCES. United States History - 1877 to Present
In the April-May timeframe, students will take the State of Florida's END-OF-COURSE [EOC] exam which is a demonstration of proficiency of yearlong knowledge gained. The Florida United States History & Geography textbook (left image) is our textbook this year, but honestly - a weak reference (if the sole source) needed to pass the EOC in 2017. So, as in past years, I supplement the material from our earlier text - The Americans (below our textbook on the left) which covers similar material and is a better reinforcement, yet explained somewhat differently, but rest assured - accurately. It can help review our material, as other supplemental material I will use this year. The AMSCO US History book (right image) is a great supplement of evidence you will learn this year, and it nicely supplements the main facts, details and specifics. In addition, John Green's Crash Course videos should enhance your study of American History in preparation for the State of Florida's EOC exam (April - May 2017). You'll also find podcasts, and to the right, Our Documents, provide access to 100 Milestone Documents of the National Archives. Don't forget that there are thousands of potential research sites and helpful articles online. We have access to the Library of Congress and H.I.P.P.O (useful in understanding document analysis), along with the Political Cartoon Guide (below). Also, below (right), you'll find it useful by hyperlinking on the United States 44 Presidents of the United States (domestic & foreign policies). Equally, below (left), you'll find the United States Supreme Court key decisions. Below (left) is a simple, but interesting quiz in where your views may stand politically. If you haven't thought about it, go ahead and take the quiz. |
